Website Research

Websites

The first few things I thought of for my website is the title and design/layout. I have looked into the conventions of online science websites to gather an idea of how I want to design my own website. What I did notice when looking at all of these different websites, was that for every website I came across that contained the topic of light wavelengths, the website was not there solely to inform on light alone, but for a range of topics that included the wavelength of light. This gives me all the more reason to design a webpage of a website that’s contents is solely informative about light.

Wavelength of Light

I have had a look into animals that see only in infrared rays or use them for detection, along with animals that can see ultraviolet light and those that see solely using visible light, like humans .
Infrared and ultraviolet light are touched upon within the theory of relativity, but are not discussed at a great length, and so I think it would be interesting to continue in that direction with my own work.

I started by looking into the spectrum of light wavelengths. I found this diagram below. It was interesting to see on the spectrum the difference between ultraviolet light, visible light and infrared light. Wavelength Diagram

The theory of Relativity and Light

Online in an ebook, called Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, I found information about the electromagnetic spectrum. Within the spectrum is light, but there is also infrared light. At this point I am considering basing my work on all forms of light, including infrared. Einstein made a big discovery regarding light and produced a scientific paper that changed the view that the world had on light.   Untitled-1

Einstein’s Theory of Relativity

Based on the new brief I am beginning my research into Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. The aim of this research is to find an appropriate topic to base my work on, relating to Einstein’s work. I began by searching for the title in Google. The firstlink that I found interesting contained information on how the Theory of Relativity can be seen in reallife. The website listed several different topics that are all relevant. The topic I was drawn to was light.
