Savills

Savills logo

Savills are an east midlands based estate agents. Everything about the kind of properties they sell would suggest that they are definitely an upmarket estate agents, however, their design, in my opinion does not. Their brand colours are yellow and red and their logo is a simple design much like the typeface they have used. There properties range in value between £115,000 and £7, 000, 000; meaning they are advertising properties at more than 4 times the price of Fine and Country greatest value property. savills

Fine & Country

fine and country logoFine & Country is a Lincolnshire based estate agents and is the complete opposite of Remax. This was the next estate agents that I came across. Fine and Country are a lot close to the kind of estate agents I had in mind when thinking about an upper middle class property seller. It can be seen from the logo to the right and the screenshot that I took of their website, that this company has a much greater sense of elegance, in comparison to Remax. Their logo features the company name and a pillar, which is primarily used as a support to hold up things such as a roof, however they are popularly used in large, extravagant properties as decoration, in other words, they are not a necessity, making them more obtainable to those that can afford to spend on such luxuries, i.e. the upper middle class.  The colours that they primarily use are black, white, silver and gold. Their properties range between a value of £100,000 and £1,550,000, including both the more affordable properties and those that are a bit more upmarket. fine and country

Remax

remaxRemax was the first estate agents that I looked into for inspiration. When reading the brief, I already had some idea of what to expend from an upper middle class estate agents so when looking at Remax, I was taken aback, as the whole style of their branding was not what I had in mind. Nothing about the logo implies elegance, the use of primary colours, in my opinion do not promote an elite collection of properties. The properties that Remax sell range from apartments valued at £50,000 to houses valued up to £1 million. As the company is based in London, these prices are not as excessive as one might think when comparing to Lincolnshire based properties, however they are still considered fairly upmarket. As the first estate agents I have looked at, I am not satisfied with the impression it gave when I first opened the site and I am next going to look to estate agents in Lincolnshire. remax webpageremax

Identity and Branding

For this project I am going to be designing a corporate package for an estate agents. I started off my initial research by visiting Luxuryestate.com; which is where estate agents advertise the properties they are selling or renting. I thought that this would be an ideal place to find the kind of estate agents I am looking for, those selling high end properties. It was a good starting point, however, it only directed me to properties based in London or Edinburgh. I did have a look into upper class estate agents that are based in London, but I thought that the next step would be to find some that are based in my particular area of interest, which would be Lincolnshire. luxury estate

A2 Poster

I decided to incorporate my infographic into my poster rather than the other platforms. After looking at the info graphics on the science llama website, I had a good idea  of how I wanted to design my own. I used photographs to digitalise the animals so that they could feature in my infographic. And I also used different colour shadings to separate the information a bit. infographic poster ed 3
